One of Function28’s latest projects was working with local restaurant/bed and breaksfast, The Culm Valley Inn.
For us this was a very fun project to be part of, all the way from the design and initial meetings to the development and implenting stage.
We took on the responibilities of creating them a new website and managing their social media channels.
When designing the new website we wanted to make sure that it came across modern, easy to use and most of all family orientated.
When we first arrived at the location, the stunning views all around include the Culm river literally 50 yards from the pub and he massive space outside for drinks or food in the sunshine.
Inside the pub, the combination of the atmosphere, staff and food make for a great experience, one everyone needs to try!
To show the location and pub in all it’s glory we knew the best thing to start was taking photos to use for the new website and social media. The main focus of the photoshoot was the food, The Culm Valley’s head chef Vinnie prepared lots of dishes of high-quality ingredients and the looks to match, photos can be seen below. All photos were taken and edited by ourselves at Function28.
During the webiste build we had close contact with Culm Valley Inn and kept them in th loop of the build and general feel of the website. One of thier main requests was to be able to edit the webiste and maintian the content keeping it up to date with the latest information.
After completing the website build and getting the social media up and running. Our next step was to get the Culm Valley’s rooms advertised somewhere where people could book effortlessly and was easy to manage around the busy pub.
We chose to use booking.com and list all the rooms they have avaialble on there. The Culm Valley Inn have many rooms available and more in the pipeline to be listed including a new cottage which will contain a private hotub! We decided that all the rooms should be named rather than nyumebred to help with the homely feel to the Inn, names included The Beacon Room & Church View, which link to the surrounding are of the pub.
Since the website, social media and booking.com went live, the positive response The Culm Valley Inn has had is amazing with tables being reserved daily through facebook and rooms also being booked nearly every day through the booking.com website.
The pictures that we captured showcase The Culm Valley Inn perfectly and without images at our disposal the whole build would of been more difficult and would of been produced without much connection to what the Inn is actaully like.
