Cullompton Boxing Club is back up and running in their HQ situated in Willand after lockdown closed all gyms which meant the club could not continue and was closed for 4 months.
During this period of downtime, they took this opportunity to rebrand the club as they are now a recognised Amateur boxing club with them sporting a new club logo and new website address of www.cullomptonabc.co.uk.
This also meant the boxing club had time to put guidelines in place for the awaited return of sessions, including sanitiser stations and a sanitising fog machine which Function28 were happy to fund.
A new booking system was also implemented onto their website, where people now have to pre-book if they would like to attend a session, ensuring the track and trace protocols can be adhered to.
During June the club were able to conduct small sessions outside in the open with social distancing in place, and get people back loving the fitness side of boxing again.
Post lockdown and back in the swing of classes, Cullompton ABC now run almost 20 classes throughout the week, including the youngsters and ladies classes which are going from strength to strength and almost at full capacity. Function28 are super happy to continue supporting the boxing club and look forward to being involved with more promotional work once the club can start their charity boxing shows again.
